What We Build

Custom Firmware & Drivers

We create drivers, firmware and embedded software for devices, employing Bluetooth Smart technology, NFC solutions or other proximity communication means. With over two decades of hands-on experience in embedded development, we know how to integrate proximity technologies.

We deliver accurate, durable location services solutions: navigating through complex facilities, tracking tools and people, locating misplaced objects or obtaining information on a point of interest.

Hardware Design

Our software engineers can build hardware solutions that interact with Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMs) and sensing devices, and transmit the collected data wirelessly to the cloud with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, and LTE technologies.

Softeq is an official member of the Apple MFi program and provides iBeacon development services. With original hardware components, tools, documentation, and technical support from Apple, we are positioned to help companies build iBeacon compatible BLE-enabled hardware that flawlessly converses with all Apple devices and accessories.

App Development

To extend the capabilities of a sensor solution we have developed, we create mobile apps that communicate with Beacons, proximity readers, stickers, and tags directly from the end-user device.

These could be apps for asset tracking, smart logistics, indoor navigation solutions, contactless mobile payments, real-time locating systems (RTLS), or any other app you dream up.

Web Systems

To further complement an embedded solution, we can push your proximity solution development on to the web level, thus creating a full-fledged ecosystem.

Some potential web system examples include admin dashboards for managing beacons and other sensing objects, content management solutions for pushing personalized content to users’ mobile devices, cloud-based backends, as well as analytics and reporting systems for obtaining insights into user behavior.

How Can We Help?

Our Approach to Proximity Hardware

Whether you’re looking for iBeacon software development, an NRC solutions company, an RFID solutions provider, or looking to get BLE-enabled hardware bundled with other transmitters and sensors (temperature, motion, sound, vibration, etc.), Softeq can help. We can turn a transmitter into a smart accessory fitting the size of a keychain or a tiny RFID tag.

To leverage communication with other smart objects and electronics in the vicinity, Softeq builds both single-purpose proximity transmitters, NFC readers, RFID tags, and BLE-enabled devices (using iBeaconTM, AltBeacon, URIBeacon or Eddystone specifications). We also code custom proximity modules as part of multi-purpose device development endeavors.

To craft a working prototype or a set of deliverables pivotal to the production of your solution we will:

  • carefully select among passive, active or battery-assisted passive tags
  • adapt your enclosure for specific environments or harsh conditions
  • thoroughly choose device components

Firmware Development for Proximity Devices

The Softeq team develops low-level solutions that extend the standard characteristics of BLE-enabled hardware and tweak the capabilities of transmitting/emitting modules. We can help you tune anything from microcontroller memory to BLE smart module performance, including:

  • Optimizing memory size and extending the storage capacity
  • Reducing power consumption
  • Minimizing BLE-device coverage overlap
  • Tweaking adaptive frequency hopping
  • Extending core functionality by adding extra connectivity options
  • Enhancing signal strength and range
  • Increasing the size of an advertisement packet in PDU
  • Configuring advertising intervals
  • Adjusting broadcasting power
  • Tuning geolocation capabilities (adjusting major and minor values for higher UUID broadcasting accuracy)
