Softeq CEO is Spotlighted among Houston Innovators

InnovationMap, the voice of innovation in Houston, put Chris Howard on the front page. Along with two fellow entrepreneurs from Houston, the Softeq Founder and CEO is recognized as a local innovator who prioritizes giving back to the region’s community.

Chris Howard established Softeq, a full-stack development company with over 300 software and hardware engineers, in 1997. Today, the company works on over 100 projects a year helping both startups and enterprise companies develop end-to-end IT solutions from the ground up. In 2020, Howard launched the Softeq Innovation Lab in Houston to leverage the company's expertise in order to help tech startups in the region.

The Lab, as a joint venture between Softeq, MIT, and Boundless Technology, facilitates creative sessions led by renowned US scientists, futurists, entrepreneurs, and technology experts. Through the Lab, innovators from startups and corporations can strategize, build, and scale tangible solutions in a short time frame. These resources help executives become intrapreneurs.

InnovationMap spreads the word about the technology innovation ecosystem in Houston in the startup, tech, health, energy, and social impact spheres. The project highlights industry leaders and features stories on innovation in the region.
