REGO-FIX is the world’s leading manufacturer of high-precision tool clamping systems that comprise a variety of inspection and measurement equipment, cutting and forming tools, machine components and accessories, and workholding devices to a global, cross-industry clientele.

Problem

Having a list of strict requirements for upgrading their corporate presentation tool, the customer was after a trusted service provider to carry out mobile software implementation. Due to the team’s demonstrated mobile software development competence, Softeq scored high enough to be assigned to the project.

Softeq was to fit out the client’s existing app with several new features to ensure advanced content processing functionality and facilitate the company’s sales process.

Solution

The solution is an iOS app for a limited distribution that’s designed to assist the sales personnel by keeping full information on the company’s services and products at their fingertips. Easily guiding the users through the corporate instructional videos and catalogs, the app enables on-the-fly communication with prospective buyers. Furnished with a well-considered quoting functionality, the tool provides for an opportunity to quickly pick all necessary items from the catalog and send them to the customer without disrupting the discussion thread.

Challenge

As long as the app was exclusively positioned to cater for internal business needs only, the main challenge was to conclude on the tool’s distribution channels as regards their account requirements. The team resolved the issue carefully tailoring the app to the standards of the chosen platforms.

Methodology

To optimize team efforts while managing product development, Softeq employed Scrum, an incremental agile software development methodology.

Results

Softeq team successfully delivered the updates for both US and European market versions of the app, which is now distributable through the Business Volume Purchase Program and direct Cloud storage/ email sharing.
