Hurricane Rita

September 26, 2005

Well, we got our own hurricane this time...Hurricane Rita threatened to hit Houston as a rare Category 5 hurricane, forcing one of the largest evacuations in American history.

Fortunately for Houston, Rita veered East and left Houston largely untouched. We had very little rain and only suffered some extra yard work and brief power outtages. We were prepared for the worst and had the best possible outcome.

We can't say the same for our neighbors further up the Gulf. So once again, if you can, please donate to the American Red Cross. Thanks.
